How to play Monopoly

Monopoly has been one of the most popular board games across many ages. While the game has been developed in various ways and there are various versions of the same, the fundamentals of the game remain the same. The game can be played by 2 players if one of them double up as a banker. But ideally it can be enjoyed by about 6 people. The objective of the game is to ensure the maximum amount of wealth creation and it does not really have a specific end unless you are prepared for playing on for a few days.

At the beginning of the game the players are given a certain amount of Monopoly money so that they can start creating wealth. This is a roll-and-play game where the players roll a dice to land of various squares. These are generally locations and can be cities, of any country. The cities are in turn grouped on the basis of colors and have different rates.

As you move along you can continue to buy various cities but if you land up on a city that belongs to another player, you have to pay a rent to the owner based on the amount of development that has been done. This development takes place in the form of construction where you can gradually erect buildings or a hotel (and this depends on the specific variation of the Monopoly that you are playing). There are also other kinds of locations that you can land on where you may have to pick up a 'chance' card and follow the instructions. There are also some locations like a caf
